About the Instructor

Sharon Steele began dancing at the age of five and began choreographing steps at age nine for her mother, who was a music educator in the Greenville Texas school system.   She received her Bachelor of Science degree in dance from Texas Woman’s University and was ballet soloist in the TWU Dance department.  After graduating Cum Laude, Sharon acquired an Elementary Teaching Certificate from Texas A&M University – Commerce and went on to teach  elementary school, English and Music for several years in the Texas and Arizona school systems. 

Sharon has performed with and taught for Conservatory Ballet in Arizona and studied ballet pedagogy under French-Canadian ballet mistress Madame Nicole O’Kelley. 

She was Director of Dance and a licensed Kindermusik Instructor for Joy School of Performing Arts in Glendale, AZ prior to founding Harmonic Motion in 2004.   

Sharon recently attended the 11th Annual International Teacher's Congress  taught by Leading Authority on Teaching Method, Professor Peggy Willis Aarnio and hosted by the Infinity Ballet Conservatory in Apex, North Carolina.

 Sharon will continue throughout the year as a student of Dr. Aarnio and will continue with Teaching Method in the school.

Our Business

Harmonic Motion opened its doors in March of 2005 in historic downtown Rockwall, TX.  In our first year of operation, we put on a full length ballet, moved the studio to a new and permanent location, opened a uniform shop and successfully placed dancers in summer intensive programs all over the country!
